Mountain State Forest Festival

The WVU Alumni Band has been invited to play at the opening of the Mountain State Forest Festival. This event will be held in front of the Depot Amphitheater, on Saturday, September 30, 2023, in Elkins, WV.
Schedule
- Warm up: 3:15pm
- Performance: 4:00pm
Attire
Summer gig shirts, khaki pants, and tennis shoes or sandals. No flip flops.
Equipment/Instrument Rental
If you have need of an instrument (for example, tuba, percussion, etc.) and do not have access to it through your personal resources, please let us know and we will try to provide it for you (see registration form).
Warm-up/Music
The pep band members will be taken to a staging area upon arrival. There will be some time to run through the tunes. Music can be found on the WVU Alumni Band website (www.wvualumniband.org) under your instrument section after you log in.

The registration deadline is Noon on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.
WhatsApp
With this event, we will be trying a new communication method. It should be faster and specifically target Pep Band performers. We will utilize WhatsApp, which works on both Apple and Android devices. This should provide for more targeted information reaching participants instantaneously.
