About Us
The WVU Alumni Band is an organization comprised of former members of the WVU Band. Established in 1969, the WVU Alumni Band enjoys well-established grass-roots support from WVU alumni across the United States, and throughout the world at-large.The WVU Alumni Band extends the WVU Marching Band experience beyond the college years by providing social activities for members, publishing a membership directory, electronic mailings, and an informational Website.
While WVU Homecoming Weekend is our pinnacle tradition, the WVU Alumni Band is a year-round organization currently sporting two Pep Band chapters as well as supporting efforts by Emeritus Director Don Wilcox to facilitate a traveling Tour Band.
WVU band alumni have an established record of supporting the organization and the broader institution, whether through volunteer service, season tickets, or financial donations, and this contributes to the vitality and stability of WVU, the WVU Band, and the Alumni Band.
