WVU Alumni Band Performance Dress Code

Alumni bands across the nation have been moving towards a cleaner and more consistent, more professional look. As part of the Alumni Band’s re-branding (see new logos) and as representatives of the University, we are unveiling new alumni pep band, parade and Homecoming professional dress codes.

Pep Bands & General Parades

The dress code for pep bands consist of the following:

Official Blue Gig Shirt (a long sleeve option is available for colder months)
(pictured)
Khaki-colored bottom (length season specific)
Comfortable shoes

Homecoming

The dress code for the Homecoming parade and game day will consist of the following:

Dark blue pants or jeans
Comfortable shoes
White headwear^
Shirt

Parade: blue or gold shirt, or band jacket
Game Day: gold shirt or sweatshirt (blue/gold raincoat if rain)

^Member Choice of Ballcap, Visor, Toboggan, Headband; Appropriate at discretion of AB Directors.
Appropriate Text and Graphics, at the discretion of Alumni Band Directors.

If there is inclement weather, we will make adjustments for any event concerning attire.
For 2024 Homecoming, the blue Story Time shirt may be worn for the parade or the gold Story Time shirt may be worn for the game.
