Showcase Entertainment

Please note that we will not have the tailgate this year due to the activities being offered by WVU.

• Headlining the Gold-Blue Spring Showcase will be an Almost Heaven Village Kickoff Concert featuring The Powell Brothers. Admission is free to the public. The concert will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the East side of Milan Puskar Stadium between the Light Blue and Teal parking lots.

• Fans are invited to bring their own food and beverages to the concert, but there also will be food trucks onsite. As always, no outside food or beverage will be permitted into Milan Puskar Stadium. Concession stands inside the stadium will open at noon.

• Along with the kickoff concert, the Almost Heaven Village fan experience zone will offer fans the opportunity to pick up an exclusive schedule poster, enjoy food trucks, inflatables, a DJ, yard games, photo opportunities, caricature artistry, balloon artistry, face painting and appearances from the WVU Spirit Squads. The Almost Heaven Village will be open three hours prior to kickoff (10 a.m.) and will close 30 minutes prior to kickoff (12:30 p.m.).

• Following the conclusion of the showcase, all fans in attendance will be welcomed onto Mountaineer Field for 30 minutes for photos and other activities.

Gold-Blue Showcase Information

We will be playing in the stands (Section 105) with The Pride. The Showcase will not be a typical scrimmage that has been held in past years. Dr. Williams said that participation by the two bands will be minimal during the showcase event due to the change in the format. This event is being planned and structured by Athletics and the WVU Football office.  

• Tickets are free this year - Arm bands will be provided for admittance to the game to sit with The Pride. You do not need to go online and download a ticket. More information will be provided about the location to receive your armband and admittance to the stadium.

• Attire -

  • Dark Blue Jeans (The Pride members will be wearing jeans)
  • White Headwear (The Pride will wear a white ballcap. Alumni Member choice of Ballcap, Visor, Toboggan, Headband; Appropriate at discretion of AB Directors.)

If there is inclement weather, we will make adjustments concerning attire.

• WhatsApp Messenger - If you plan to participate in the performance, please download WhatsApp so that additional details can be communicated to you. (Go to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, then search for WhatsApp Messenger. Tap INSTALL. Open WhatsApp and continue to the next screen by agreeing to their Terms of Service.)

• Music -  You will need to download all of the pregame music and the National Anthem (available under "Music" at the website within 24 hours after you register). We will let members know prior to the event if other selections need to be downloaded. 

• Equipment/Instrument Rental - We are working to be able to provide rental equipment for this event. Please be sure to complete the rental section of the form if you are in need of equipment. NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO FEE FOR EQUIPMENT. WE DO ASK THAT YOU PLEASE READ AND AGREE TO THE TERMS. • Parking - Please park in general parking areas (usually announced the week of the event by WVU).
