2022 TBT Basketball Scrimmage
in Fairmont, WV
The WVU Alumni Band has been invited to play for the Best Virginia team at the 2022 TBT Best Virginia Basketball Scrimmage at The Feaster Center on the campus of Fairmont State University, Saturday evening, July 16th. The tournament organizers provided specific guidance for participants. Please be sure to read through the details below concerning the full event. Registration is required for participation.
Schedule
Tipoff is at 6:00pm. Call time for rehearsal and setup is 4:45pm. We will meet in the Weight Room of the Feaster Center.
Tickets and Guests
The event is FREE for those participating in the Alumni Band. Guests are welcome to purchase a ticket at the gate and they will be seated with the general public. Non-alumni band members (or non-PRIDE members) will not permitted in the music area.
COVID Procedures
At this time, there are no COVID restrictions at The Feaster Center. Please wear a mask if you feel you need to! Please keep masks plain and devoid of political or objectional messaging. (Per tournament organizers)
Attire
Navy blue pants or dark jeans and a gold shirt are requested. Please try to wear an official WVU Alumni Band T-shirt. If you do not have one of our official shirts, a gold WVU shirt will be fine to wear. All clothing and masks must be family friendly. The band will be seen on ESPN sports channels for this event. Equipment/Instrument Rental
If you have need of an instrument (for example, tuba, percussion, etc.) and do not have access to it through your personal resources, please let us know and we will try to provide it for you (see registration form).
Warm-up/Music
The pep band members will be taken to a staging area upon arrival. There will be some time to run through the tunes. Music can be found on the WVU Alumni Band website (www.wvualumniband.org) under your instrument section after you log in.
Parking/Facility Entrance
We are awaiting information from TBT. More information will be provided as soon as possible.
Registration/Deadline
The registration deadline is End of day on July 12, 2022. Event organizers have requested a list of attendees be passed to them that same day.
Optional Pre-Game Meal Event
We are planning to have an optional pre-game get together at Muriale’s in Fairmont prior to the game. The tentative start time is 2:30 p.m. Each person is responsible for their own meal costs and waiter gratuities. If you would like to join us, please check the box provided on the registration form so we can give Muriale’s an accurate headcount in advance.
